The Chinese electric car has been lengthened by 70 mm – its length has grown to 2997 mm, and the wheelbase to 2010 mm. From the standard Mini EV the car differs not only in increased dimensions, but also in modified front and rear optics.
Of course, the increased dimensions have increased the interior space (especially in the second row), but the main thing is that they have allowed the installation of a more capacious battery with a capacity of 26 kWh. The range has grown to 300 km (according to the NEDC cycle). At the same time, the power of the electric motor has been increased from 27 to 41 hp.

Paradoxically, the price of the significantly improved Wuling Hongguang Mini EV Long Range may remain at the level of the standard model – about 5000 dollars. The fact is that the electric car will now be eligible for a government subsidy (it is provided for models with a range of 300 km and above), which will cover the increase in its cost.
By the way, Wuling plans to produce 400 thousand Mini EVs in 2021. This will allow it to overtake Tesla Model 3 and become the world leader in the electric car segment based on the results of the year.
