The fact is that along with the standard Toyota Hilux GR Sport, its lowered Lo-Floor version was unexpectedly offered as well. Its ground clearance is reduced from 217 to 164 mm. Both variants received a body kit, and the standard pickup also got a new radiator grille and 18-inch wheels.

The interior of the Toyota Hilux GR Sport is trimmed in leather and suede, and the pedals are adorned with metal overlays. The equipment includes an 8-inch touchscreen, surround-view cameras, lane keeping and blind spot monitoring.

Under the hood – no changes: the Toyota pickup is equipped with a 2.8-liter 204-horsepower turbodiesel and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The high-clearance versions have reinforced suspension and replaced shock absorbers.

If the pre-facelift Toyota Hilux GR Sport was sold only in South America and Africa, now the sporty version of the pickup will be offered in many more countries. Although it is unlikely that the lowered Lo-Floor will be offered outside of Asia.
