So, it is stated that from the start, the new Kia Sportage 2022 will get the familiar from the predecessor 1.6-liter 180-horsepower gasoline turbo engine and a 2.0-liter turbodiesel with 186 hp. In the first case, a 7-speed robot with two clutches is provided, in the second – an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Of course, over time, the engine lineup will be expanded. A 1.6-liter turbodiesel with 136 hp and a 230-horsepower hybrid unit will appear, and there are plans for a plug-in hybrid Kia Sportage with about 265 hp.
The new Kia Sportage 2022 has grown significantly and now reaches 4660 mm in length, 1865 mm in width, and 1660 mm in height, and the wheelbase has grown to 2755 mm. The trunk has also been significantly increased – its volume is 637 liters.
It is also reported that the all-wheel drive has been supplemented with a set of driving modes for different types of off-road. The list of options has been supplemented with adaptive shock absorbers, a parking autopilot with remote control from the key fob, and a semi-autonomous driving system.
