The new product is based on the Great Wall Pao pickup in a two-seat configuration. They decided to make it a sort of Ford Ranger Raptor, so they increased ground clearance to 249 mm, installed off-road tires and a snorkel. Also noteworthy are the reinforced bumpers and wheel arch extensions.

But the interior of the Great Wall Artillery turned out to be quite modest. The seats have fabric upholstery, and instead of a virtual instrument cluster, there are conventional dials. There is no touchscreen either.

However, the power of the 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine has increased to 215 hp, and torque has been increased to 380 N∙m. It is paired with an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, and the all-wheel drive in the Great Wall Artillery is supplemented by locking differentials.

In addition, seven driving modes are provided for different types of off-road. The suspension has been strengthened with Eibach springs, K-Man struts, and shock absorbers with remote reservoirs, like the Ford F-150 Raptor.
