Interestingly, those who decided to buy a Tesla Model S Plaid before the presentation will pay less. Literally a day before the premiere, Tesla's top electric car went up in price from $119,900 to $129,900. The reason is not given, but it may be related to the shortage of microchips on the market.

So, the new Tesla Model S Plaid is the first version of the model with three electric motors at once. Together they develop 1034 hp and allow acceleration to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. The traditional quarter mile was covered by the electric car in a record 9.2 seconds – faster than a Bugatti Chiron.

The claimed range of the Tesla Model S Plaid is 628 km. This is also a record – no production electric car is capable of that. It is worth noting that initially Elon Musk planned an even more "long-range" and powerful version, but at the last moment refused it.
