The presentation of the Honda N7X took place in Indonesia; the choice of such a location is explained by the fact that the new crossover is intended for developing countries of Southeast Asia. The model name stands for New 7-Seater eXcitement, which translates as "new, 7-seater, exciting/thrilling".

The design of the N7X is made in the style of other modern models of the brand – with a characteristic radiator grille, headlights, and stampings along the sides. Inside the car, there are 3 rows of seats, in a 2+3+2 layout.

The technical part of the new product has not yet been disclosed, but it is expected that under the hood of the production Honda N7X there will be a 1.5-liter gasoline engine (123 hp, 145 Nm), which will work in conjunction with a 6-speed manual (standard) or automatic transmission (option).

The Honda N7X should become an inexpensive crossover, and it will replace two models at once on the Southeast Asian market: the BR-V crossover and the Mobilio compact van.

The first has been produced since 2016, and the second – since 2013.
