The Volkswagen ID.5 electric car is a coupe-like version of the ID.4 crossover. It differs from its sibling primarily in its elegant sloping roofline and somewhat different rear design. The video features the top-of-the-line GTX performance version with a special front bumper and 20-inch wheels.
Like the new Volkswagen ID.4 GTX, the coupe-crossover will get a pair of electric motors with a total output of 295 hp, all-wheel drive, and an 82 kWh battery. It will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds and travel about 480 km without recharging.
The lineup will also include less powerful front-wheel-drive versions with 170 and 204 hp. In addition, a 62 kWh battery will be offered.
