Zhiji is a new brand created by automaker SAIC and giant Alibaba Group, which owns, in particular, the popular Aliexpress service. Both companies joined forces and produced a car that can definitely challenge models like Tesla Model S, Porsche Taycan and Audi e-tron GT.

The powertrain of the Zhiji L7 has 540 hp and 700 Nm, acceleration to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds. The sedan has two battery options: 118 kWh and 93 kWh. In the first case, the range on a single charge is an impressive 997 km (!), in the second – 600 km.

Another innovative technology is an 11 kW wireless charger, which can add 80 km of range in one hour of connection.

Inside, the new electric sedan impresses no less: the front panel features a 39-inch screen. It is divided into three sections: the digital instrument cluster, the multimedia touchscreen, and a separate passenger display. Additionally, there is another screen on the center console – it is used to control the climate system and driving modes.

In addition to the above, the Chinese also promise an advanced autopilot system consisting of a set of 12 cameras, 17 radars, and a lidar.

The live debut of the Zhiji L7 will take place on April 19 at the Shanghai Auto Show. Sales of the electric car are expected to start in the first months of next year.
