Design of Mercedes C-Class 2022
The Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2022 has almost the same exterior – low-slung with narrowed "predatory" headlights - and a similar interior, where the main elements are a large vertically oriented multimedia screen and a horizontal instrument cluster. By the way, the MBUX infotainment system itself, which debuted on the same S-Class, will be included even in the base trim levels of the new C-Class.

But in terms of dimensions, the Mercedes-Benz C-Class has essentially remained the same. It only slightly increased in length (by 65 mm) and width (by 10 mm). The interior has a bit more legroom for rear passengers.

Technical specifications of Mercedes C-Class 2022
Another feature of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class 2022 is a huge selection of powertrains. For the car, several 1.5-liter and 2.0-liter petrol engines were prepared, as well as 2.0-liter diesels. The power of petrol units ranges from 170 hp (250 Nm) to 258 hp (400 Nm), diesel – from 163 hp (380 Nm) to 265 hp (550 Nm). All engines are equipped with a mild hybrid system and work exclusively with a 9-speed automatic transmission 9G-TRONIC. The most powerful petrol sedan accelerates to 100 km/h in just 6.0 seconds, and the diesel – in 5.7 seconds (+0.1 seconds for the estate). The top speed for top-end cars is 250 km/h. Drive is both front and proprietary all-wheel drive 4Matic.

Separately for Europe, a plug-in hybrid 308-horsepower unit will also be available. It consists of a 2.0 engine, an electric motor, and a battery with a capacity of 25.4 kWh. On electric power alone, such a C-Class can travel up to 62 km on the WLTP cycle.

Equipment of Mercedes C-Class 2022
Already in the base, the new model is equipped with adaptive suspension, and for an additional cost, for the first time, a fully steerable chassis (rear-wheel steering) will be available, which significantly reduces the turning radius of the car.

When can you buy Mercedes C-Class 2022
In Europe, orders for the new C-Class sedans and estates will begin to be accepted in March, and the new model will be at dealers in the summer. After that, the manufacturer will expand the model range with the C-Class All-Terrain estate, a coupe version, high-performance AMG variants, as well as new hybrid installations.
