As is known, Lada Niva Travel is a modernized version of the Chevrolet Niva (the name was changed after General Motors refused further cooperation with VAZ). The SUV features a completely new front end – headlights, radiator grille, bumper, hood, and fenders have been replaced.

But the Niva's interior remained unchanged – the instrument cluster, center panel, and multimedia touchscreen were left untouched. The only innovation is the Lada logo (instead of Chevrolet) on the steering wheel.

The length of the Lada Niva Travel has increased to 4099 mm, and the width to 1804 mm. The wheelbase (2450 mm) and height (1652 mm) remain the same. The new Niva 2021 has become 20 kg lighter – 1465 kg in the base trim. An Off-road version with a snorkel and more massive plastic body kit is also offered.

Under the hood, there are also no changes: the new Niva is equipped with the same 1.7-liter 80-horsepower engine. The 5-speed manual transmission and all-wheel-drive system with low range were also left untouched. That is, the changes are cosmetic in nature, and the mechanics are the same as before.
