According to information from the Chinese publication Autohome, the ultra-compact Lexus BX will be smaller than the UX crossover, but larger than the Yaris. The BX will be built on the modular GA-B platform. It is expected that the length of the new model will not exceed 4.3 m.
The base version of the Lexus BX will be hybrid, with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine and an electric motor. The top variant may get an electric all-wheel drive E-Four with a separate motor-generator on the rear axle.
The Lexus BX will not debut soon; according to forecasts of Chinese media, the production model will be presented no earlier than 2023.
