The eight-cylinder engine on the Defender could only be seen in the limited Works V8 70th Edition version, however, apparently, the company is not satisfied with this, and it is going to raise the prestige of the model, which was previously considered a pure workhorse.

As Autocar reports, the SUV, which was spotted near the Land Rover plant in Gaydon, has a five-liter engine under the hood, taken from the Range Rover Sport SVR.

On this top-end SUV, the engine produces 575 hp, however, for the Defender, the power of the unit is going to be cut to about 500 hp.
