The Audi RS Q8 is equipped with a four-liter V8 with two turbochargers, which is already used on the recently unveiled Audi RS6 Avant and RS7 Sportback. The engine, working in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic transmission, develops 600 hp and 800 Nm of torque. The internal combustion engine operates together with a 48-volt onboard system and a starter-generator in a mild hybrid scheme.

The coupe crossover is capable of accelerating to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds — just 0.2 seconds slower than the 650-horsepower Lamborghini Urus. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, but when ordering the optional Dynamic package, the electronic limiter is moved to 305 km/h.

Standard equipment includes all-wheel steering, as well as adaptive air suspension that varies ground clearance over a range of 90 millimeters. For an additional charge, carbon-ceramic brakes, 23-inch aluminum wheels, and LED matrix headlights are available.

Earlier it became known that the "hot" Audi RS Q8 set a record on the "Nordschleife" of the Nürburgring among production SUVs, covering the 20.8 km German track in 7 minutes 42.253 seconds. It managed to surpass the achievement of the 510-horsepower Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S, which posted a time of 7 minutes 51.7 seconds on the "Nordschleife".
