The Sentra's design has inherited features from the Altima and Maxima. The car is equipped with thin LED headlights, a spoiler, black-painted rearview mirrors, a wide V-Motion grille, and 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, new seats and a 4.2-inch display are installed (a 7-inch screen is available for higher trims). An 8-inch touchscreen manages the multimedia system with "new capabilities" for smartphone connectivity and voice command recognition.
Additionally, the sedan is available with the Safety Shield 360 safety package, which includes automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam switching, and lane departure warning.
The sedan's wheelbase has grown to 2712 millimeters. Furthermore, the new model features an independent rear suspension instead of a torsion beam. The car is powered by a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine. The motor produces 151 horsepower. The engine works in conjunction with an Xtronic CVT.
Later, the engine lineup will be expanded with more powerful units. Additionally, engineers have modernized the steering and suspension, as well as increased the structural rigidity.
