The planned facelift of the Cadillac XT5 first affected the version for China, and the American one largely repeats it. The updated XT5 can be recognized by the new radiator grille with two different patterns and modified lower bumper sections. The headlights are now LED as standard with automatic high beam control; the Luxury and Premium Luxury versions got 18-inch wheels with a new design, and the Sport — 20-inch ones.

Inside the crossover, the latest-generation Cue media system with new graphics and NFC support appeared, a USB-C port, a new 15-watt wireless charger for smartphones, a high-resolution rear-view camera, two variants of the digital instrument cluster, and a night vision system. In addition, the design of the center console changed, new seat upholstery options and color schemes were added, and sound insulation was improved.

The base engine for the American Cadillac XT5 in the Luxury and Premium Luxury variants became the two-liter LSY unit with a twin-scroll turbocharger, producing 240 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. For the Sport, the standard remains the 3.6-liter V6 (314 hp and 367 Nm of torque). The eight-speed automatic was replaced by a nine-speed one. All-wheel drive is standard only on the XT5 Sport, along with adaptive suspension, different power steering settings, and torque vectoring.
Sales of the updated Cadillac XT5 in North America will begin at the end of summer.
