The next-generation Lada 4x4 SUV will hit the market no earlier than 2022. This was stated in an interview with the publication 'Vedomosti' by the president of AvtoVAZ, Yves Caracatzanis.
The head of the Volga Automobile Plant also confirmed the previously appeared information that the new SUV will be produced in parallel with the current generation model. At the same time, he emphasized that a final decision on this issue has not yet been made.
Earlier, a patent image of an unknown AvtoVAZ SUV appeared in the database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), which is presumably intended to replace the 4x4 model.
