The development of the model has been carried out over the past few years in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering. The electric car features an 800-volt onboard network and a battery pack with a carbon and Kevlar shell. The battery consists of more than 5,600 lithium-ion and 18650 cylindrical cells. The batteries power two electric motors on the rear axle, producing 610 hp and 950 Nm of torque.

The Aston Martin Rapide E can travel 320 km on a single charge (according to the new WLTP cycle). The batteries can be recharged to 80% in just one hour using a standard charger.
The liftback accelerates from standstill to 96 km/h in less than four seconds, while acceleration from 80 to 110 km/h takes one and a half seconds. The top speed of the electric car is 250 km/h.

The Rapide E features adaptive suspension with three modes (GT, Sport, and Sport+), as well as a self-locking differential on the rear axle. New aerodynamic elements and special alloy wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires were also specially developed for the model.
The Aston Martin Rapide E will be produced in a limited run of 155 units. The electric car will be the first model of the British brand to be assembled at the new plant in St Athan, Wales.
