The new product is a more luxurious restyled version of the Toyota Alphard model, with which the Lexus LM shares the main components and units. Externally, the premium minivan differs with a huge branded radiator grille, headlights styled after the flagship ES and LS models of the new generation, different chrome wheels, and a modified rear body section.

The driver's and passenger compartments are separated by a special partition, which houses a large 26-inch display, a clock, a refrigerator, and a special compartment for umbrellas. Passengers sit in two separate leather seats, divided by an armrest with a special touch panel for controlling all functions. Later, a more standard seven-seat version will appear.

The LM 350 modification will be equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 300 hp. The LM 300h variant will be fitted with a hybrid powertrain, where a 2.5-liter engine will work in tandem with an electric motor. The total output will be 200 hp. Both versions will be available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

The Lexus LM will primarily be intended for China and some Southeast Asian markets. Whether the minivan will appear in Europe or the USA is still unknown.
