The Cadillac CT5 is built on the General Motors platform — Alfa. In the Cadillac lineup, the new sedan will replace three models at once: ATS, CTS, and XTS.

The CT5 engine range includes a two-liter turbocharged engine, as well as a three-liter V6 unit. Both engines work in conjunction with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Drive is rear-wheel, but an all-wheel drive system will be offered as an option. All other technical characteristics of the sedan are kept secret.

The new model will be offered in two trims — Luxury and Sport. Prices for the Cadillac CT5, which will compete with the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi A3, will range from approximately 35 to 45 thousand dollars.

The new sedan will be produced in the city of Lansing (Michigan). Sales in the US will start at the end of this year.
