Unlike the show car unveiled in Geneva in spring 2015, the production version will feature a five-door body style. The vehicle will compete with models such as the Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne, and Maserati Levante.
In its base trim, the crossover will be equipped with a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 from Mercedes-AMG, developing about 600 horsepower. The flagship modification will receive a 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 with 750 hp.
The official presentation of the Aston Martin DBX is scheduled for the end of this year. Series production will begin in the first months of 2020 at the new plant in St Athan (Wales), which will create more than 700 additional jobs.
