Externally, the "hot" GLE differs from the standard version by the radiator grille, aggressive bumpers, and wheel rims of 20 or 22 inches in diameter.
Inside, a digital instrument panel, sport seats, and a large display of the MBUX multimedia system are installed.
Under the hood of the AMG version, a three-liter engine with a turbocharger and an electric supercharger is placed. The motor develops 435 hp and 520 N·m of torque. The onboard network is 48-volt to ensure the operation of the starter-generator, which provides an additional 22 hp and 250 N·m of torque. The powertrain also includes a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Acceleration to 100 km/h takes the Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 5.3 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h. The crossover is also equipped with air suspension with upgraded anti-roll bars, a steering system with variable ratio, and improved brakes.
