According to Motor Trend, which cites insiders, the new compact crossover will get a more classic look than the Kona model, and its body will feature dynamic lines. At the same time, the new model will remain practical and will be aimed at a young audience.

The engine lineup is expected to include a 1.6-liter gasoline unit that will work with a CVT. Customers will also be offered turbocharged engines from the Kappa family — 1.0 and 1.4 liters — which will be paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch robotic gearbox.

The crossover's equipment will include an automatic emergency braking system, blind spot monitoring, and a hill-start assist. The list of equipment will also include a multimedia system with an eight-inch touchscreen display and keyless entry.
