Land Rover has abandoned the idea of launching the extreme version of the Discovery model, prepared by the Special Vehicles Operations division, into series production.
In 2017, at the Frankfurt Motor Show, Land Rover presented the conceptual SUV Discovery SVX. This show car had significantly enhanced off-road characteristics and was equipped with a V8 engine producing 525 horsepower.
Initially, it was planned that the production version of this model would hit the market at the end of 2018. However, according to British media reports citing insiders, the Discovery SVX will never make it to the assembly line.
