According to available data, the RC F Track Edition version will differ from the base model by reduced weight through the use of carbon fiber elements — the hood, roof, and rear spoiler will be made of this material. The coupe's body kit as a whole will be styled after the RC F GT race car, which took part in the speed hill climb to the summit of Pikes Peak in 2015.
The track version will also get different headlights, a different radiator grille, new bumpers, a sport diffuser, and modified twin exhaust tips.
According to unofficial information, the Track Edition will be equipped with an improved five-liter V8 engine with an enhanced lubrication system, as well as refined cooling and exhaust systems. The unit's output is expected to be higher than the standard 473 horsepower and 528 Nm of torque.
The public debut of the Lexus RC F Track Edition is scheduled for the coming days — it will be shown at the auto show in Detroit.
