The South African version of the Subaru WRX STi Diamond Edition is equipped with a 2.5-liter turbocharged engine that produces 354 horsepower and 464 Nm of torque. This is 54 horsepower and 57 Nm more than the standard model. However, in this regard, it is inferior to the Japanese WRX STi TC380, which delivers 380 horsepower, and the British Impreza STI CS400 with its 400 horsepower and 515 Nm.

The sporty sedan reaches the first "hundred" 0.7 seconds faster than the regular version — in exactly five seconds. To reach a speed of 160 km/h, the car needs 13.7 seconds, while the standard model needs 14.76 seconds.

The anniversary package includes a reinforced strut brace, a Brembo braking system with six-piston calipers at the front and two-piston at the rear, as well as spacers that widen the track by 20 millimeters. The exterior is complemented by 19-inch darkened wheels. Inside, there is a Harmon Kardon audio system with seven speakers and a media center that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The first examples of the Subaru WRX STi Diamond Edition will reach customers in January next year. No more than 30 such cars will be produced.
