The overall length of the new model reaches 4356 mm, which is 50 mm more than the current Rapid. The trunk volume is 440 liters, and the wheelbase is 2.6 meters. Among the characteristic features of the concept are lowered headlights, a large aerodynamically tuned spoiler on the roof, a rear diffuser, and smoothly streamlined wheel arches. In addition, the car is equipped with a digital instrument panel and a large touchscreen display.

Under the hood of the Skoda Vision RS is a hybrid powertrain. It combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 150 hp and an electric motor with 102 hp. The total output of such a system reaches 245 hp.

The combination of a 1.5-liter turbo engine and an electric unit with 102 hp allows the prototype to accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.1 seconds. The top speed is limited to 210 km/h. The electric-only range is 70 km. The total power of the powertrain is 245 horsepower.

In turn, the production Rapid will no longer use the old PQ26 platform, giving way to the modular MQB architecture from the Volkswagen Group. This chassis is already used in a number of compact and mid-size models, from the latest Volkswagen Polo to the Skoda Kodiaq crossover. The engine lineup will be expanded with new 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engines, whose power in different versions will vary from 125 to 150 horsepower.
