According to their data, the car's premiere may take place next spring at the Geneva Motor Show. The model will for the first time receive a fully electric version.
Judging by the photos, the car will feature traits of the older 3008 and 5008 models, as well as the Peugeot Instinct concept car presented last year at the Geneva Motor Show. The hatchback will be equipped with a new radiator grille, a spoiler, and other air intakes. In addition, the car will noticeably increase in size compared to its predecessor. Also noteworthy is the sporty exhaust system, so it is not excluded that the spy photos show a "hot" modification of the hatchback called GT-Line.

The engine lineup of the next Peugeot 208 will include a 1.2-liter petrol engine, as well as a diesel with a displacement of 1.5 liters. In addition, the new model will have a "hot" GTi modification with a 1.2-liter unit boosted to approximately 200 horsepower. Details about the electric modification of the 208 are not yet available.
The new model will be based on the new scalable CMP platform, developed jointly with the Chinese company Dongfeng, a shareholder of the PSA alliance. It is expected that the overall length of the car will increase by about 0.1 m to four meters.
