The model received a completely new exterior and interior design, became larger and more spacious, and also acquired advanced electronics such as a 12.3-inch virtual instrument panel.

The overall length of the new model, built on the modular MQB platform, is 4485 millimeters, width – 1856 millimeters, height – 1585 millimeters, and the wheelbase reaches 2680 millimeters. Thus, the crossover has become 97 millimeters longer, 25 millimeters wider, and five millimeters lower than its predecessor. The distance between the axles has increased by 77 millimeters. This made the second row of seats more spacious, both in legroom and headroom.

The rear seats can be slid forward and backward by 150 millimeters, and the backrests can be adjusted in seven positions. The trunk volume with the seats moved forward is 675 liters, and with them folded – 1525 liters. The tailgate is equipped with an electric drive and can be opened hands-free.

The crossover will be offered with four engines – three gasoline and one diesel. The base one is a 1.5-liter TFSI four-cylinder with 150 horsepower, equipped with a system that deactivates half of the cylinders under light loads. Also available for the model are two-liter units producing 190 and 230 horsepower. The two-liter engine on "heavy fuel" develops 150 horsepower.

All modifications (except the base one) are equipped with all-wheel drive and a seven-speed "robot" with two clutches.

The new Audi Q3 will be offered with an electronic instrument panel with a diagonal of 10.25 or 12.3 (for an additional charge) inches, a multimedia system with a screen size from 8.8 to 10.1 inches, wireless charging for a smartphone, two USB ports (one of which is Type-C), a 680-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system with 15 speakers, an auto-parking system, a surround-view system, adaptive cruise control, LED headlights, and adaptive suspension.

The first to hit the market will be a model in a special "launch" modification. It will receive an S line body kit, sport suspension, 20-inch wheels, matrix LED headlights, and a black radiator grille. The interior of such a car will feature sport seats upholstered in Alcantara. Such a car will be available only in gray or orange.

The new model will be assembled in Hungary. Sales in Europe will begin in November.
