The new model will not resemble the limited series GT-R50 (pictured) — it will get its own exclusive design.

As Albaisa reported, his team will start working on the design only after the platform and powertrain are finally chosen. "The engineers have already received the task," he noted. "When the right moment comes, we will make every effort to make the car truly unique."

Official data on the engine has not yet been disclosed. There is a possibility that it will be hybrid — for example, like the LMP1 GT-R racing prototype created for the 2016 WEC season. That car had a hybrid powertrain: a three-liter V6 and an electric motor that drove the front wheels. According to preliminary estimates, the new GT-R will get a unit with over 600 horsepower.

The current generation Nissan GT-R uses a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 producing 570 horsepower and 633 Nm of torque (in the Nismo version — 600 horsepower and 652 Nm). The coupe accelerates from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour in 2.7 seconds (the GT-R Nismo in 2.6 seconds). The top speed is 320 kilometers per hour.
