The production version of the car will appear in 2019. According to unofficial data, the range of the new model will be 305 kilometers. The electric Mini will be able to accelerate to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. It is not excluded that the new model will go on sale under the name Mini Cooper E.

The assembly of the three-door hatchback will be established in the UK. At the same time, the production of the transmission for the car will take place in Germany.

At last year's Frankfurt Motor Show, Mini presented the concept of its first electric car in history. The prototype was named Electric Concept. The hatchback was equipped with LED optics, a radiator grille with yellow inserts, and retractable door handles.
