The car has received a number of improvements, including a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder Ingenium gasoline engine. The power unit produces 200 horsepower. With this engine, the crossover reaches 100 km/h in 8.2 seconds.
In addition, the new model has received the Smart Settings function, which is already used in the electric I-Pace. This system remembers the driver's habits and adjusts the car's parameters to the collected data. The technology can adjust climate control, multimedia system, and seats. Over time, the algorithms will learn to take into account the driver's preferences in different weather conditions, on specific routes, or depending on the time of day.
The driver also has access to the Adaptive Dynamics option, which increases the car's stability and maneuverability. This system monitors the vehicle's movement every 2 milliseconds and calculates the required compensating force 100 times per second to adapt to changes in road quality.
