The “fourth” A-Class looks very fit and sporty, and from the front it strongly resembles the coupe-like CLS sedan of the new generation. At the same time, the model retained its previous silhouette, which has become lower. Unsurprisingly, the drag coefficient is now only 0.25 (previously 0.27).

The new A-Class retained the previous MFA platform, which underwent a major modernization. The hatchback turned out to be almost 13 cm longer than its predecessor, and the wheelbase grew by 3 cm.

The interior of the A-Class has changed radically, because it was not for nothing that the interior began to be declassified last autumn. Even in the base version, there are two 7-inch screens, one of which is responsible for the digital instrument panel, and in expensive versions the displays increase to 10 inches.

Also inside, the steering wheel from the flagship S-Class sedan, spectacular air vents, and 64 ambient lighting options attract attention.

Also, the A-Class debuted a new multimedia system MBUX (Mercedes User Experience), which can independently adapt to the owner's preferences.

The engine lineup includes compact turbo engines from Renault: a 163-horsepower gasoline engine with a volume of 1.3 liters and a 1.5-liter diesel with 116 hp. As a top option, a two-liter turbo engine from the E-Class is offered, producing 224 hp and 350 Nm.

Unexpected changes occurred in the rear suspension of the hatchback, which on modifications with low-power engines is now equipped with a semi-independent beam.

Orders for the new Mercedes-Benz A-Class will begin to be accepted in early spring, immediately after the world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show. Prices have not yet been disclosed.
