As announced, the car turned out to be truly impressive and broke several world records at once.
Under the hood of the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon is a 850-horsepower V8 with a displacement of 6.2 liters, producing as much as 1044 Nm of maximum torque. All power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a modernized 8-speed automatic transmission.
Acceleration to 100 km/h takes the "Demon" just 2.3 seconds, which is the best result among all production cars, and the "drag" quarter mile (402 m) such a "Challenger" will cover in 9.65 seconds.
At the same time, on the starting segment, the driver will experience a record longitudinal overload of 1.8 g, and the first 89 cm the car will travel exclusively on the rear wheels, slightly lifting the front axle off the ground (spectacular wheelie start).
In addition, the Challenger SRT Demon has the world's largest air intake on the hood, and to further reduce weight, all seats except the driver's have been removed from the cabin.
In total, 3,300 units of the "demonic" modification of the Dodge Challenger SRT will be produced. Prices are still kept secret.
