What is the reason for the success of the Dodge Journey (2008-2020)? The main one is a lot of car for little money. It is a very spacious vehicle (with both 5- and 7-seat interiors available) with a large ground clearance (from 180 mm), which can be bought in Ukraine turnkey with repairs starting from $8,000.

For that money, they mostly offer older examples in "bare" trims, with a 2.4-liter engine (173 hp) and a 4-speed automatic. At the same time, there are more expensive options – for $17-18 thousand. In that case, the buyer can count on the senior 3.6-liter V6 unit (282 hp), a 6-speed automatic transmission, and all sorts of "goodies" like leather interior, panoramic roof, heated seats, keyless entry, etc. There are also versions that run on ethanol (alcohol gasoline) – meaning you can also count on fuel savings.

So, the Dodge Journey is not just an affordable car; it is a vehicle designed for any budget. It can also boast good reliability: this applies to versions with both the junior and senior engines. The obvious drawbacks are only the heat exchanger of the 3.6-liter engine, which "constantly" leaks, as well as kicks and jerks from the 6-speed "automatic".
