Mitsubishi has been forced to postpone the release date of the new generations of the ASX and Outlander crossovers to a later date.
The update of the model range is delayed due to the process of Mitsubishi joining the Renault-Nissan alliance. After the change of owners, it was decided to use existing Nissan platforms for future generations of crossovers, which will significantly reduce development costs.
However, unification will require additional time, which is why the premieres of new models will have to wait until 2020. Previously, it was assumed that the cars could debut as early as 2019.
