Crossland X unexpectedly turned out to be almost 60 mm (4212 mm) shorter than the Mokka X model, also yielding to it in all other dimensions. As expected, the newcomer is built on the French EMP2 platform from the PSA concern and will technically be very close to the new generation Citroen C3 Picasso.

The interior of the Crossland borrowed many elements from the new Insignia and Astra. As an option, a panoramic roof, a multimedia system with an 8-inch display, and a full set of electronic safety systems, including automatic braking and self-parking functions, are available.

The Germans have decided to hold back information about the engine lineup until the Geneva premiere of the model. Sales of the Opel Crossland X will begin closer to summer.
