According to insider information, Subaru has decided to delay the release of the new generation of the WRX model.
The debut of the new generation WRX is expected no earlier than 2020. At the same time, it has already been confirmed that in the coming year the model will undergo an update that will bring its design closer to the look of the new Impreza, but this will have virtually no effect on the technical content.
The postponement of the next-generation WRX is due to the need for extensive testing, as well as the likely introduction of a hybrid powertrain, which requires additional checks.
