The new LS is expected to debut in January at the Detroit Auto Show. The sedan's exterior will be styled after the LF-FC concept car (pictured). Initially, the model will be available in only two versions – with a five-liter V8 gasoline engine and with a hybrid powertrain.
The luxury sedan will receive a hydrogen-powered modification no earlier than 2019. The Japanese plan to use technologies that are already actively used on the Toyota Mirai model.

Recall that recently company representatives also reported plans to release a hydrogen crossover.
