The design of the new Compass clearly echoes its "big brother" Grand Cherokee, but looks quite original. The crossover is built on the basis of the more compact Renegade model and is not much different in size from the first-generation Compass.

The list of equipment has expanded significantly and now includes options such as active cruise control or a multimedia system with an 8.4-inch display and a Beats audio system with more than 500 watts of power.

Over time, Jeep plans to offer as many as 17 (!) engines for the newcomer, but for now the model is available only with two motors – a two-liter petrol engine with 166 hp and a 170-horsepower Multijet diesel of similar displacement.

Initially, the new Jeep Compass will be produced at the Brazilian plant, but later it will also appear at other assembly sites. In Brazil, the model is priced at about 30 thousand dollars, but in other markets the starting price may be significantly lower.
