The engine lineup of the next-generation Peugeot 5008 will include petrol engines ranging from 130 to 215 horsepower, as well as diesels with outputs from 120 to 180 horsepower. Later, a hybrid powertrain is expected to join the range, which will allow the all-wheel-drive 5008 to travel about 50 kilometers on electric power alone.

The new Peugeot SUV will feature a new interior architecture called i-Cockpit of the second generation. It is expected that such an interior will first appear on the next 3008 SUV.

The debut of the new-generation Peugeot 5008 is expected to take place in October at the Paris Motor Show. Sales of the model may start in early 2017.
