In April, the German manufacturer brought the production version of the CrossBlue concept to final tests. Paparazzi managed to capture the car during road tests in Arizona. Sales of the car will start in early 2017. The main competitors of the new model will be Toyota Highlander and Ford Explorer.

The crossover will be built on an extended MQB platform and will be equipped with a third row of seats. The design of the model will repeat the CrossBlue prototype.
All technical characteristics of the crossover are still kept secret. According to unofficial data, the engine lineup will include four- and six-cylinder gasoline turbo engines. The appearance of a hybrid modification of the crossover is also not excluded. The CrossBlue concept was equipped with a two-liter diesel engine and two electric motors located in the front and rear of the car. The three engines together produced 302 horsepower. However, in the production version of the car, the diesel unit will most likely be replaced by a gasoline analogue.
