Judging by spy shots, the SUV will get a design in the spirit of the Vision Concept. The first to hit the market will be the seven-seat Land Rover Discovery, which will be the flagship of the family, to which two more modifications will be added later.

The SUV will get the same platform as the new Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. Thanks to this, the SUV will become noticeably lighter than its predecessor. Little is known about the technical aspects of the car. According to unofficial information, the engine lineup will include 4- and 6-cylinder INGENIUM engines. The base version of the new Land Rover Discovery will get a 3.0-liter diesel unit.

There will also be a hybrid version of the Discovery in the lineup. The powertrain will be based on a 2.0-liter gasoline four-cylinder.

In addition, the new Discovery may be equipped with a transparent hood. Cameras and sensors will read the road surface, and with the help of the windshield with the corresponding function, the driver will be able to see on the hood an image of the ground beneath it. The company believes that such an option will be useful not only off-road but also in everyday life. The car will also feature a remote control function, which is expected to be useful in parking lots and off-road conditions.
