The new car will directly compete with the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur. This information was provided by the British publication Autocar.
According to the published image, the main differences from the hatchback with the same name will be a higher ground clearance, larger diameter wheels, and protective body elements designed for off-road driving.
The exact timing of the new model's appearance has not yet been disclosed. However, Seat CEO Jürgen Stackmann hinted that the premiere will take place before sales of the new Audi Q1 and VW Tiguan begin.
At the same time, Seat has almost finished work on the production version of the crossover based on the 20V20 concept shown earlier. The car is based on the modular MQB platform. Under the hood, both gasoline and diesel engines will be offered. According to preliminary data, the model's debut will take place this autumn at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
