As Autoportal has already reported, Mercedes-Benz is preparing a competitor for the BMW X6. And now the new player in the sports crossover segment can be seen up close. The pre-production new model was spotted almost without camouflage.
The debut of the Mercedes GLE Coupe is scheduled for January, when the model is expected to premiere at the Detroit Auto Show. The crossover is based on the platform from the latest M-class. It is assumed that the GLE will also receive the engine lineup from the donor. Sales are scheduled to start in the second half of 2015.
