The SUV is built on a new platform developed specifically for the Chevrolet Niva and designed for harsh climatic and road conditions.

As experts predicted, the car has a design close in style to the Chevrolet lineup. The length of the new SUV is 4316 mm (30 cm longer than the previous generation), and the wheelbase has also increased. The front suspension is now MacPherson, while the rear remains dependent.
It is expected that the production version will have a longitudinal engine layout, permanent all-wheel drive, and of course a locking center differential. In the standard version, the spare wheel will be mounted on the rear door.

The car is powered by a 1.8-liter gasoline engine producing 135 hp. It works in conjunction with a five-speed manual transmission from General Motors. A transfer case with a low range is available. It is expected that the engine lineup will expand, and front-wheel-drive variants will appear. An automatic transmission is in the company's plans.

The design of the new model was handled by the Italian design studio Blue Engineering and a team of GM-AVTOVAZ engineers. Thanks to their efforts, the car meets Russian operating conditions.
The SUV will go into production at the end of 2015
