The design is based on the golf-class model Leon. And the difference in ground clearance compared to the progenitor is insignificant, only 1.5 cm. Nevertheless, manufacturers hint that it can be safely taken on light off-road. After all, it has all-wheel drive. The name of the new car is X-Perience.
All-wheel drive, however, is not at all off-road, since the Haldex coupling is responsible for transmitting torque to the rear wheels. But it is claimed that the stability control system of the new car has received a special firmware for off-road driving. On loose surfaces and mud, the electronics will not "strangle" the engine and will allow the wheels to slip slightly, which will not let the car lose momentum and "dig in".
The special external image of the X-Perience can be appreciated right now. In black plastic armor, with brown suede in the cabin and with body paint in the same color varnish, it evokes associations with hiking shoes. Although the bumpers are hardly designed for ramming small obstacles.
