The presentation, as expected, took place in Japan. There is a clear connection between the production car and the concept car that inspired the designers. It was presented at last year's Tokyo Motor Show. The Copen is a front-wheel-drive car and belongs to the Japanese kei class.

The car is equipped with a turbocharged three-cylinder engine with a displacement of only 0.660 liters and a power of 63 hp. The engine is mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a continuously variable transmission. The body design is original; the external body panels can be easily and quickly replaced in case of breakdowns or damage.

The price for the Japanese market is set at 17,600 US dollars. It is not yet known on which other markets this car will be sold.
