The registration and examination units of the State Traffic Inspectorate have changed their name — now they are called Centers for the Provision of Services Related to the Use of Motor Vehicles. In addition, a new procedure regulating the issuance and replacement of an international driving permit has been introduced.
The Center issues an international driving permit for three years based on a national driving license (at the request of its holder), provided that the validity period does not exceed the validity of the national document. The processing and issuance take no more than five working days from the submission of all necessary documents.
To obtain or exchange an international driving permit at the Center, you must submit:
– an application;
– a copy of the national driving license, as well as the original for verification;
– a photo of 3.5 x 4.5 cm on matte paper.
After checking the documents, the Center's employee immediately returns the national driving license to the applicant.
The issuance and exchange of an international driving permit are carried out without the need to pass exams.
