The SUV first drove along the sandy shore, after which it "flew off" a cliff and ended up in the Dnieper. Turning around right in the water, the car drove back onto dry land. When the driver tried to repeat the maneuver and turn around in the river a second time, the right side of the jeep fell into a hole, and the car began to sink. The owner did not expect that there could be such a deep drop in the Dnieper right near the shore.
As a result, the car was half submerged. Passing speedboats raised waves, and each such wave hitting the jeep caused it to sink deeper and deeper into the water.
About twenty onlookers gathered around the "drowned" vehicle, each advising the driver on what to do. The Toyota owner called the firefighters, but they refused to pull the car out due to the lack of access to the shore. How this situation ended remains unknown — the correspondent stayed at the scene for about three hours, but during that time, they failed to pull the jeep out of the water.
