Audi's management does not report the exact date for abandoning cars with internal combustion engines, but it is not hard to guess that 2026 models will stay on the assembly line for no more than 10 years. That is, the full transition to the production of electric cars will take place around 2030-2035.

By the way, Audi will also abandon hybrids, and after 2026 they will not be designed. It was previously reported that due to strict Euro-7 eco-standards, the German company will stop creating new engines of internal combustion in the coming years. Existing engines will continue to be modernized.

According to the company's plans, by 2025 there should already be two dozen electric vehicles in the lineup. Among them are both expensive electric cars like Audi e-tron GT and more affordable models like the crossover Audi Q4 e-tron.
